Start with a capability, not a predetermined solution

Why VisionSeek begins by asking what should become possible.

01

The starting point changes the work

A request for a tool can conceal a more important need: an institution wants to become able to do something it cannot do today. Naming that capability keeps the work open to better combinations of people, systems and technology.

02

The form follows the capability

The result may be a platform, operating model, partnership, applied-research effort or company. Choosing that form is a consequence of understanding the capability and proving a viable path.

03

A useful first step

Write one sentence: who should become capable of doing what? Then identify the strongest evidence for the current limit. This is the starting artifact for the first VisionSeek masterclass.
